Careful Screening
Our screening process ensures we hire only the best, most qualified candidates perfectly matched to your security needs. Initial conversations assess key qualities such as professionalism, appearance, demeanor, attitude, and communication skills. Qualified candidates are then invited to a formal interview with our branch office recruiting team.
Thorough Interviews
The initial in-person interview evaluates punctuality, appearance, and professionalism while clarifying details of the candidate’s application. Additional interviews with branch staff may be conducted to provide a broader assessment. Candidates who advance are invited to our orientation and training program.
Drug-Free Environment
We have a long-standing commitment to providing a safe, quality oriented and productive work environment. Alcohol and drug abuse pose a threat to the health and safety of Cambridge Security employees and to the security of the company's clients. Applicants being considered for hire must pass a drug test before they are extended an offer of employment.
Mental Health Assessments
The psychological exam is a crucial yet often overlooked part of the armed Security Officer hiring process. Given the demanding nature of the role, we’ve made psychiatrist-developed psychological screenings mandatory for all armed applicants. While not legally required for security licensing, our executive team unanimously agreed that raising the standard for armed officers was the right decision.
