Surveys show 83 percent of offenders described the presence of uniformed security officers as either effective or extremely effective in preventing theft. Of these, 54 percent rated uniformed guards as extremely effective, while only 34 percent of adults and 29 percent of juveniles said the same of attentive employees and greeters. The results confirm Cambridge Security’s long-standing view that there is no substitute for having a live security officer — highly trained and experienced—on site to deter theft, keep customers safe, and respond directly to emergencies. Working with store personnel, our officers also help manage external security threats such as problem customers, loitering, and gang activity, with professionalism that is always mindful of our client’s image.
